There are cultures that since ancient times, have related the stars, constellations and the Milky Way itself with the souls of those who have left us. A privileged seat in the stage of eternity, where it’s possible to see the majestic spectacle of the universe… and also a place where we can look at to remember them.
What a nice idea, what a simplicity … I wish this explanation was acceptable to all, I wish science and our knowledge would let it be this way. Maybe then we could remember with less tears in our eyes.
This idea, however, is much true. “Dust we are and dust we become” and not any dust is what has made us. Earth and all hat it contains has been formed by the same dust from the stars, so we all have a little of this heaven within us, and one day, in thousands of years, our dust may help forming new stars.
Today, with the shell of a sea snail, an abalone and a dry branch of broom I remember you, and I remember how you liked panoramas. And I think about this photograph, and how I thought you would like it while I was doing it. My first night panorama. Maybe it is not very spectacular and I hope to do many more better ones, but this one is special.
Today, from infinity where you wait for us, a lot of memories of the good times come to my mind. From infinity, your gaze feels very real and transports me through space and time.
